At the same time people were being encouraged to light blue lights as a show of support for health care workers the ocean up and down the SoCal coast was hit with a red tide that made the waves glow blue for over 3 weeks including during a Supermoon. Difficult to photograph, I decided to do a rendition in oil paint of what I experienced that night at 4am.
